Breckenridge's Dining Passport Runs to Nov. 19. Many of Its Restaurants Close Before Then.

The Breckenridge Restaurant Association's Fall '26 Dining Passport is valid from October 5 through November 19, 2026. That's almost seven weeks of half-price entrées, prix fixe menus and two-for-one deals across town. The restaurants' own listings tell a different story. A few closures have already started, and the biggest wave begins Monday, Oct. 26, when participating kitchens start closing in staggered blocks. Several stay dark until the passport expires. One, La Francaise Bistrot, stays closed until after Thanksgiving.

If you're holding a passport, the stretch from Thursday, Oct. 22, through Sunday, Oct. 25, is your last chance to use it before most of the closures start. After that, which offers you can use changes every few days, and ski season opening on Nov. 6 brings back only some of them.

What $15 Gets You, and the Rules That Come With It

The passport costs $15, covers two people and can't be transferred. Proceeds fund scholarships for local students, and the association says it awarded about $15,000 of them in 2026. It can't be combined with other promotions or used for takeout. In two-for-one deals, the lower-priced item is the free or discounted one, and gratuity may be calculated on the original check.

It's digital. Kenosha Breck tells diners to buy through the official Dining Guide and show the membership or purchase confirmation on their phone. The offers page also accepts the receipt email or a screenshot of the welcome email.

The program rules also say, "Each restaurant lists its own terms, promotions and schedules." Those schedules decide what the passport is worth on any given night.

Through Oct. 25, Most of the Lineup Is Still Open

The passport menu lists 35 restaurants, from Aurum and Hearthstone to Pho Real, Shifty Lifty and the Skywalk Market in Beaver Run. Between now and Sunday, Oct. 25, most of them are on regular schedules, with a few exceptions already in effect:

  • Twist at 200 S. Ridge St. closed Oct. 18 and stays closed through Nov. 19, so its three-course $60 dinner is gone for the rest of the passport window.
  • Whiskey Star Smokehouse on South Main Street started closing Tuesdays and Wednesdays on Oct. 20. Its passport offer, any BBQ sandwich with two sides for $16.49, is still available the other five days.
  • Bar Down Tavern at Grand Lodge on Peak 7 lists its closure as Oct. 14 through Oct. 21 on its own site. The Dining Guide listing runs that closure through Oct. 24 and adds Oct. 31, Nov. 7 and Nov. 14. Call before you drive up the hill.

The days before Oct. 26 are when you can still use the offers that are about to disappear. The Breckenridge Distillery offers buy-one-get-one lunch and dinner entrées, half-price steaks, $7 featured cocktails and free kids' meals for children 12 and under. It closes Monday. Spencer's and La Francaise Bistrot also close Oct. 26. Crêpes a la Cart closes the same day.

The Biggest Closure Wave Starts Oct. 26, and Free Parking Ends Five Days Later

The closures pile up fast. Free parking ends during the same week, so a downtown dinner costs more right when there are fewer places to go.

Restaurant Listed closure Back during the passport window?
Spencer's Restaurant Oct. 26 to Nov. 3, then Nov. 8 to 12 Yes, between and after the two closures
Breckenridge Distillery Oct. 26 to Nov. 5 Yes, from Nov. 6
Crêpes a la Cart Oct. 26 to Nov. 6 Yes, after Nov. 6
La Francaise Bistrot Oct. 26 to Nov. 27 No
Hearthstone Restaurant Oct. 31 to Nov. 1 Yes, from Nov. 2
Luigi's Pizzeria Oct. 31 to Nov. 19 No
Castaways Cove Nov. 2 to Nov. 19 No
La Francaise Bakery Nov. 2 to Nov. 16 Yes, for the final three days
Twist Oct. 18 to Nov. 19 No

Hearthstone's break is the shortest on the list, two days over Halloween weekend. Its five-course prix fixe is $90 per person, or $140 with wine pairings, and it's available again from Nov. 2.

Parking changes on the same timeline. Under Breck Park's Locals' Appreciation Month, every Town-owned lot is free from Oct. 1 through Oct. 31. That includes Tiger Dredge, East Sawmill, Wellington, the Exchange lots, Ridge Alley, Courthouse, Tonopah, Barney Ford and the Ice Rink lot for daytime parking. On-street parking stays paid all month. After Oct. 31, the South Gondola Structure at 80 N. Park Ave. is the only lot that stays free, and only through Nov. 5. Overnight parking is still prohibited there.

On Nov. 2 and Nov. 3, Twist, Luigi's, Castaways Cove, both La Francaise locations, Spencer's, the Distillery and Crêpes a la Cart are all closed at once. Spencer's reopens Nov. 4, and the town's last free parking lot stays free through Nov. 5.

Opening Day Brings Back Only Some of the List

Vail Resorts has announced Nov. 6 as Breckenridge Ski Resort's 2026-27 opening day. As always, the date depends on weather and conditions. Summit Daily reported that the Oct. 14 storm let Loveland, Keystone, Copper and Arapahoe Basin start making snow, and Breckenridge turned on its snow guns a few days later. GoBreck's November guide says the resort usually opens from Peak 8 first and adds terrain from there.

The Distillery's closure ends Nov. 5, so it's back for opening day. Crêpes a la Cart returns after its Nov. 6 closure date. Spencer's reopens Nov. 4 and closes again Nov. 8 through Nov. 12, so it's dark during opening week.

Some passport restaurants never come back during the window. Twist, Luigi's and Castaways Cove all list closures that end Nov. 19, the passport's last day. La Francaise Bistrot is closed past it. La Francaise Bakery reopens after Nov. 16, leaving three days to use the passport there. The lifts are scheduled to spin for two weeks before the passport expires, but several of its restaurants stay closed that whole time.

The Offers That Stay Usable All Window

Blue River Bistro is the only restaurant whose fall-offers listing says "Open All Fall!" Its passport offers include half-price bottles of wine Sunday through Thursday, two-for-one martinis and appetizers from 2 to 5 p.m. daily, and a $17 burger-and-beer lunch. Those are three different deals at three times of day, all at one address, and none of them is interrupted by a closure.

Other offers are useful on weeknights, which matters more once the closures start:

  • Aurum and The Carlin both give Gold Club members 50% off entrées Sunday through Thursday, with no fee to join the Gold Club. The Carlin's discount applies to dinner entrées, and it also serves weekend brunch.
  • Rootstalk and Radicato each offer a small three-course savory prix fixe at $79 per person.
  • Kenosha takes 50% off a second steak, BBQ plate or entrée of equal or lower price, plus half off one bottle of wine with an entrée purchase. A 20% gratuity is added.
  • Briar Rose Chophouse and Saloon offers half-price small plates in the Saloon during Monday Night Football until halftime, plus 20% off bottles of wine. That gives the deal four Mondays left in the window, on Oct. 26 and Nov. 2, 9 and 16.

None of these listings shows a closure inside the window. Even so, each restaurant sets its own schedule under the program rules, so check the restaurant's own listing before you go.

What Opens After Nov. 19

Some of the closures run longer than the passport, and they end on their own schedules. South Ridge Seafood Grill closed Oct. 18 and reopens Friday, Nov. 20, at 4 p.m., the day after the passport expires. Ember, which isn't part of the passport, shows a closure from Oct. 3 through Nov. 19 on its Tock page. Edwin at Hotel Alpenrock is closed for the shoulder season and says only that it will reopen in November. Tee One Restaurant at Breckenridge Golf Club reopens Friday, Nov. 27. La Francaise Bistrot's closure runs through Nov. 27 as well.

Restaurants reopen in this order: Hearthstone on Nov. 2, the Distillery on Nov. 6, Crêpes a la Cart after Nov. 6, La Francaise Bakery after Nov. 16, South Ridge on Nov. 20, then Tee One on Nov. 27 and La Francaise Bistrot after its Nov. 27 closure. The passport ends Nov. 19, which is before most of the closed dining rooms come back. To use it at the Distillery, Spencer's or Crêpes a la Cart without working around a closure, go by Sunday, Oct. 25.

At Palazola Group, we track Breckenridge's shoulder season down to which kitchens are open on which night, because that's part of knowing this town in October and November.
